ID Analytics to Host Online Discussion with Regulators on Key Compliance Laws and Regulations
SAN DIEGO, CA – To help organizations determine myth from reality when it comes to compliance, ID Analytics, a leader in consumer risk management, will host a webinar discussing the key privacy-related laws and regulations that pose compliance challenges to organizations. Featuring experts from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and U.S. Treasury, the webinar will take place on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
ID Analytics’ Chief Privacy Officer and Vice President of Government Affairs, Joel Winston, a former FTC official, will host the webinar. He will be joined by Gary Sutton, senior attorney for financial crimes with the U.S. Treasury, and Steven Toporoff, an attorney with the FTC’s Division of Privacy and Identity Protection.
Webinar attendees will learn about critical legal requirements they need to comply with, the purpose of the various requirements and how they work together or against each other. Key laws and regulations that will be discussed include:

Sutton, formerly general counsel for a bank, has been primarily involved in implementing the anti-money laundering provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act since its enactment in 2001 and also serves on the U.S. delegation to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Toporoff is the FTC’s point person on identity protection. He serves on the FTC’s privacy steering committee and participates in several federal task forces and outreach efforts on privacy, identity protection and victim assistance.
